Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – The Pink City
I started my trip in Jaipur,
the capital of Rajasthan. Known as the Pink City, it’s full of charm and
royalty.
After checking into my hotel near MI Road, I headed straight to the Amber
Fort — a masterpiece of Rajput architecture. The elephant ride up the fort
felt straight out of a movie!
Later, I visited the City Palace
and Hawa Mahal, both offering glimpses of royal life and local artistry.
Evening was for exploring Chokhi Dhani, where Rajasthani culture comes
alive with folk dances and traditional food.
Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing & Local Shopping
After breakfast, I visited Nahargarh Fort for a panoramic city view. Then, I explored Albert Hall Museum and Birla Mandir.
Afternoon was all about shopping at Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar — perfect for handicrafts, silver jewelry, and colorful Rajasthani textiles.
Must-try food:
- Dal Baati Churma
- Ghewar
- Pyaaz Kachori
Day 3: Travel to Jodhpur – The Blue City
It takes around 6 hours to reach Jodhpur
by road from Jaipur.
Known as the Blue City, Jodhpur instantly captures your heart with its
colorful lanes and blue-painted houses.
I visited the grand Mehrangarh
Fort, one of India’s best-preserved forts, followed by Jaswant Thada,
a beautiful marble cenotaph.
Evening was perfect for a Rooftop Dinner overlooking the blue city —
pure magic!
Day 4: Jaisalmer – Into the Golden Desert
The drive to Jaisalmer, also
called the Golden City, took about 5 hours.
Upon reaching, I went straight to Sam Sand Dunes for a thrilling Desert
Safari.
Camel rides, sunset views, and Rajasthani folk dance performances under the
starlit sky made it one of the most memorable evenings of my trip.
Stay Recommendation:
A desert camp near Sam Dunes — it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
Day 5: Jaisalmer Fort & Cultural Show
In the morning, I explored Jaisalmer
Fort, one of the few “living forts” where people still reside inside.
Visited Patwon Ki Haveli and Gadisar Lake, then spent the evening
enjoying a Rajasthani cultural performance at a local heritage venue.
Pro Tip:
Try authentic Rajasthani thali at a local restaurant — full of flavors and
love.
Day 6: Udaipur – The City of Lakes
From Jaisalmer, I headed to Udaipur,
the most romantic city in Rajasthan.
I visited the City Palace, one of India’s most stunning palaces with a
lake view.
Later, I took a boat ride on Lake Pichola during sunset — the reflection
of Jag Mandir and Lake Palace in golden light was breathtaking.
Day 7: Udaipur Sightseeing & Departure
On my last day, I visited Fateh
Sagar Lake, Saheliyon Ki Bari, and the Vintage Car Museum.
Before leaving, I grabbed a cup of coffee by the lakeside and did some shopping
for local miniature paintings and handicrafts.
